Who We Are
Ebenezer Christian School provides a private Christian School Education that is run and funded by its community of parents, alumni and extended school family. We attract and retain a staff of selfless professionals who work within blended classroom environments to nurture and care for students’ learning styles and paces. The Ebenezer curriculum exposes students to math, history, science, and language arts while developing and challenging students academically, socially and emotionally – always from a biblical perspective. Initiatives
Running a school is no easy task, it takes time, passion, and let’s face it….money. If you would like to partner with us to help further the cause of Christian education in Northern Michigan, there are several key focus areas that you can give to:
Operating Fund
The day-to-day operations budget to make sure the lights stay on, driveway plowed, and our wonderful teachers get paid. While our annual operating budget may look large at approximately $180,000 for the 2023-2024 school year, we manage to be extremely efficient with our funding, providing students with a world-class education for a fraction of the cost per student of public schools.
Scholarship / Financial Assistance
We want to make sure everyone has access to Christian education, and in order to that, we have set aside funds to help provide this education to families who may need a leg up.
Teacher Wishlist
For those who want to give something a little more tangible, we have set up funds for each of our dedicated teachers to enable them to stock their classrooms with whatever educational materials, technology, or other equipment they need to continue doing what they do so well.
Building for the Future
Our current school has been a fixture for nearly 80 years, and while we have maintained it to the extent reasonable, it is not up to the modern expectations for a school. With that in mind, it is our sincere desire to build a brand new school building for Ebenezer Christian School. With a significant grant from Richard and Helen DeVos, as well as countless other donations, we are over half-way to our funding goal of $2 million dollars.
